Looking down from the battery at Fort Worden State Park stands the Point Wilson Light. The light is located a mile and a half north of Port Townsend, Washington. Built in 1914 the Point Wilson Light sits at the entrance to the Admiralty Inlet on the Puget Sound. Automated in 1977 the light at 51 feet above the water still retains its original fourth-order Fresnel lens and sends out white and red flashes of light every 20 seconds.
